PeopleMed a division of All About People is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Louisville, Kentucky. Job Description & Requirements

• Employment Type: Travel unit: Medical Surgical and Progressive Care- 5A, 5C, 5J, 5K, 5H Selling points for the unit: Mixture of patient acuity, friendly peers and resources available # beds/procedures: Every unit has between 9 to 14 beds, not a specific procedural area Patient ratio: between 9-14 patients per unit, rations are 4/1 or 5/1 depending on acuity Does RN need to know how to read tele strips? Yes, RN would need to know the important strips, leadership available if needed Top diagnosis/procedures: Mixed acuity, not specific to any procedures Common equipment used: Dynamap, accu check machine, stethescope, on occasions bladder scanner, EKG machine Does RN need to be able to titrate medication? Only a few medicaitons are allowed to be titrated on these units, heparin and only if protocol is in place, list of medications available that are specific to area available in policy if needed. Common medications given: Daily medications, blood pressure, stool softners, antibiotics, lovenox, anticoagulations, etc.... EPIC PeopleMed a division of All About People Job ID #1042. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
