Job Description:

Modis, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Writer for it's client in Indianapolis, IN. This contract job is initially slated to last 6 months plus.  It is also eligible for conversion to full time. Pay commensurate with experience and fit to the following requirements:
 
Job Description:   Responsible for providing leadership and guidance to other technical writers. Organizes, develops, and documents business technical information, processes and procedures.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with a development team to evaluate documentation needs. Conducts interviews to gather information. Assists with design, development and editing of Internet related material. Gathers, writes, validates and updates training material, end-user documentation, operations manuals and technical user guides. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BA/BS in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 4 or more years of technical writing experience required.
SKILLS: Demonstrated proficiency in writing skills, interviewing techniques and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work in team environment, attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
 
Must be able to work in the U.S. for any employer. This contract job may be converted to permanent at client discretion and contractor acceptance.
