Full Time Our office is open Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. You must
have open availability to work any shift within these hours. You
may need to work a little earlier/later as needed. Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Favorable result on
Background Check Strong experience in insurance: authorizations,
referrals, eligibility, co-pays, etc. Basic computer skills Strong
customer service skills Excitement to learn and grow Job Summary
(Summary of the basic functions of the position) The Insurance
Verification/Eligibility Representative ensures that patient
insurance records are up to date and documented appropriately prior
to daily exams/procedures to ensure a smooth and timely billing
process. Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to
accomplish job functions) Request, obtain, and document all
patients insurance verification/eligibility appropriately and in a
timely manner excluding Tri-West, Medicaid, and DARS, which is
currently performed by the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. Run
system-generated reports daily to verify all patients for each day
have been handled. Provide assistance for the Front Desk with any
and all insurance inquiries. Provide Technicians the information
needed when day of procedures are ordered by the Doctor. In
addition to verification of coverage for these in-office
procedures, speaking to the patient regarding any additional OOP
will also be required. If we are unable to provide the procedure
day of, the authorization needed request will be turned over to the
RCM team. Serve as back-up for the Front Desk. Maintain the
strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and
clinic requirements. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a
culture of high quality and great customer service. Perform other
duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the
organization. Education, Licensure and Certification Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Favorable result on background check required Must be able to
provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements 2+ years of experience
completing medical authorizations. Comprehensive understanding of
insurance verification, contract benefits and medical terminology.
Professional in appearance and actions. Logical and Critical
thinking skills. Customer-focused with excellent written, listening
and verbal communication skills. Infatuation with learning new
technologies and systems. Detail-oriented, professional attitude,
reliable. Exhibits a positive attitude and is flexible in accepting
work assignments and priorities. Meets attendance and tardiness
expectations. Management and organizational skills to support the
leadership of this function. Ability to follow or provide verbal
and written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling
skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations. Interpersonal
skills to support customer service, functional, and teammate
support need. Able to communicate effectively in English, both
verbally and in writing Mathematical and/or analytical ability for
basic to intermediate problem solving. Basic to intermediate
computer operation. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and
Outlook Travel to other site locations may be necessary. Thus,
those needing to travel for work must have access to dependable
transportation, and driving record must meet company liability
carrier standards. Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job
function. Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this
position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines. Physical
Demands The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and
sit. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel up to 25
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,
