(2020)Responsibilities & Requirements:Under general supervision
performs high quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds
following ICAEL and ICAVL accredited guidelines. Individuals in
this position will work closely with Cardiologists, vascular
surgeons, and Radiologists. Must be able to exercise initiative and
independent judgment. Technician must be knowledgeable of
techniques and patient positioning to produce high quality
ultrasound images. Individuals in this position must be able to
exercise independent judgment and initiative. Work with all
segments of patient populations, including adults, and geriatric
patients. There is the potential for infections from contact with
infected patients. Also, there is possibly some contact with
processing chemicals and other hazardous materials. Work hours can,
at times, be irregular with the need to accept overtime and being
on call. The work is physically demanding with the need for a lot
of standing, bending, and lifting.Preferred Qualifications:Echo &
Vascular On-Call RequiredMust be registered in one modality and
become registered in the other modality within 6 monthsby
