SCHEDULE: Full Time, Hybrid TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25% COMPENSATION:
$57,361.00 to $134,417.00 base salary plus potential for variable
compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills,
qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit
Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range
for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected
class. About Our OpportunityProvides appraisal management support
for the Collateral Management Services team including the
performance of valuations and administrative/technical appraisal
reviews of loan collateral for Rural 1st and Collateral Services
Management. How You Will Spend Your Time
- Provides appraisal management support for the functions within
the Collateral Operations team.
- Performs verifications of appraisal reports to verify
compliance of collateral reports completed for Rural 1st and
Collateral Services Management with engagement instructions for
staff appraisers and external (fee) appraisers.
- Performs administrative and technical appraisal reviews of
appraisal reports completed for Rural 1st and Collateral Services
Management.
- Performs non-inspection appraisals and valuations, as needed,
of loan collateral and acquired properties for Rural 1st and
Collateral Services Management.
- Coordinates activities through the immediate supervisor to
prioritize appraisal review or verification requests.
- Conducts appraisal and evaluation reviews and provides training
as necessary in any area of deficiencies as noted.
- Evaluates the impact of environmental risks. Includes, but is
not limited to performing site inspections, owner interviews, and
documenting findings in written appraisal reports.
- Evaluates the impact of existing and proposed government
programs regarding farming, taxes, zoning, and the environment on
property valuations.
- Manages appraisal disputes and reconsiderations while
maintaining appraiser independence between appraisers and disputing
parties. Minimum Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma/GED
required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Plus two years appraisal
review experience is preferred. Relevant work experience or
combination of education and relevant work experience. Certified
Residential or Certified General state license is preferred. Mental
& Physical RequirementsWhile engaged in this position, team members
will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally.
Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional
demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving
up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance
vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities,
requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and
occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended
computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental
requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license,
